Grapevine Antique Mall Opens August 25
A soft opening of the new Grapevine Antique Mall is scheduled for Monday, August 25, and will follow with its Grand Opening on Labor Day September 1. “The public is invited to join our festivities and visit more than 70 distinctive dealer showrooms,” says Charley Weems, Mall manager.
The centerpoint of the Mall is an amazing display of 13 antique American Flags. Tricia Sparger-Buice designed, then helped Weems hang the powerful and moving red, white, and blue two-story display. “I had a gentleman walk-in off the street who wanted to get rid of the worn flags. There is a very strict procedure to follow when disposing of a flag, so I wanted to take care of that for him. Since this is such a patriotic time in our country, I realized a display of these old flags would be very meaningful to our guests,” said Weems.
A marketing professional and former manager of Lakeland Antiques in Lewisville, Weems also states, “Our ‘foundation’ dealers have been hand-picked, so that they offer area shoppers fine antique furniture, art and jewelry, with a wide variety of upscale gifts.”
Antique dealers, who originally anchored historical downtown Main Street in Grapevine, now have a new home. Located in Northwest Plaza at 1645 W. Northwest Hwy, shopping center owner Jay Ho masterfully redeveloped an existing fitness club property to house the new two-story, 22,000 square foot Grapevine Antique Mall. “We are very pleased with the interest the mall is already getting. Having leased most the first level, we are now looking to open dealer space on the second floor later in the fall.” For information, call 817 329-2124.
